As always, it is an honor for the College Football Champion Index to be included in BCS Computer Guru Ken Massey’s College Football Ranking Composite.

The A.P. Top 25 and the CFCI move a bit closer together as the math ranks 22 of the AP Top 25 this week. Alabama moves into the top spot in the College Football Champion Index. While the CFCI remains defensive-oriented, it might be tweaked soon to account for teams scoring more than 44 points per week on average. Over years of data, no team has lost in SEC conference play scoring 44 points or more through four quarters. The numbers of teams scoring more than 40 points and losing are few and far between.
