Below is in large part a release from the University of Arkansas although I’ve added a few things in [brackets.]
FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team’s matchup with Samford on Sept. 7, head coach Bret Bielema’s first game in Little Rock, will be televised in high definition on a pay-per-view basis. The broadcast is presented by AT&T and produced by Razorback Sports Properties through the Razorback Sports Network from IMG.
Fans should contact their cable or satellite provider for pricing and ordering information. [We gather that $24.99 to $34.95 seems to be the going rate.] As of Aug. 29, the game will be made available by the affiliates listed below with HD broadcasts noted. If an area is not listed, fans should contact their cable or satellite provider for more information.
[Affiliates? — The University is telling us that these cable systems are carrying the game on a pay-per-view basis. Outside of UVerse, Dish Network, and DirecTV, they are saying that coverage might be scant outside of Arkansas, BUT contact your local cable provider outside of those systems if you want to find out if you can see the game.]
Fans also may purchase the pay-per-view for viewing in HD on their computer through ArkansasRazorbacks.com’s RazorVision for $34.95. Per SEC guidelines, the pay-per-view broadcast on computer may only be purchased by residents in the home stats of the two participating teams (Arkansas and Alabama). Please note that the Arkansas vs Samford PPV is not part of the RazorVision subscription and must be purchased separately.
[There is NO RAZORVISION OUTSIDE OF ARKANSAS OR ALABAMA FOR THIS GAME.]
The link to order Razorvision is here.
Scott Inman will handle the play-by-play call with Jimmy Dykes providing color commentary and Alyssa Orange on the sideline. Inman has been a sports anchor at KATV since 1999 and is in his 15th year working as a co-host for the pre-game show and post-game Scoreboard Show on the Razorback Sports Network. Dykes is in his 20th year as an analyst at ESPN and is a former basketball letterman at Arkansas. Orange, who has collected TV experience in Florida and Texas in addition to Northwest Arkansas, is a sports reporter for KNWA.
The Razorbacks host Samford at 6 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium. Tickets are still available for $55 and may be purchased online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com, on the phone at 800-982-HOGS or at the War Memorial Stadium Box Office.
