The University of Arkansas athletic department will remember the attacks of September 11, 2001 during the New Mexico game in Little Rock. The Razorbacks will play the Lobos during the second week of the season on September 10th.
In a statement released this afternoon, Athletic Directory Jeff Long asks fans to “join us for a Red, White and Blue Out for the New Mexico game at War Memorial Stadium.”
“Even as we commemorate the 10th anniversary of one of the most tragic days in our nation’s history, we will come together to remember those who were lost. We will also celebrate the heroism of the men and women who serve our country as first responders and continue to protect our freedom as members of the United States Armed Forces.” – Jeff Long
The department also released a stadium map (below) with colored sections. Fans should wear a red, white or blue shirt depending on their section. If you can’t get enough of that Red, White and Blue Hog you can also purchase the official “Arkansas Razorback Patriotic T-Shirt” from the Razorback Shop.
