Arkansas won two come-from-behind games this weekend while dropping one to hand Florida their first series loss this year.

On Saturday, Arkansas’ attempt to sweep Florida  fell short 5-3 after Florida’s bats warmed up late in the game. Led behind Dominic Ficocello’s 2-out 2 run HR in the 6th inning, Arkansas threatened late. However, after Nolan Sanburn relieved Cade Lynch, Florida quickly found themselves in great shape scoring 3 runs to make it 5-3.

Behind the strong relief pitching of Austin Maddox, Florida was able to keep Arkansas scoreless for the final 3 innings to win the game.

This weekend was a very important weekend for Arkansas Baseball. After winning the first two games of the Florida series, Arkansas has locked up at least a share of first place in the SEC West. Arkansas has 6 games left remaining in conference play.

Next weekend Arkansas plays at No. 2 South Carolina.
