The more I think about this, the more INSANE this is. With equipment that you could not sell at a garage sale for $500 and two freeware programs I could have had these particular screenshots PUBLISHED ONLINE by the time the review was completed. The fact that CBS cannot show this image on cue having professional crews and probably millions of dollars worth of equipment leaves one wondering.
Why is it that CBS SPORTS cannot show the public and the referees this image? Are they like the monkeys piloting the first orbiting spaceships? Do they not have frame by frame stop and capture ability? Consider this a formal offer to hook them up for free. Can they not show the photo below to the replay officials?
Speaking of officials, those from this game were:
Penn Wagers, referee
Rick Lowe, Umpire
Al Matthews, Linesman
Paul Petrisko, Line Judge
Roy A. Potts, Back Judge
Brad Freeman, Field Judge
Richard Rooker, Side Judge
Jim Allison is believed to be the replay official. His name was mentioned on the air, and Jim Allison is an SEC replay official. Here is a reference to Jim Allison from 2009 from Florida’s website. In case you are wondering, no one on this crew was on the Florida or LSU crews from 2009.
Enough is enough. I guess it was time or our sixth game screwin’. Florida was the sixth game last year as well. Two years in a row, in major games on the biggest Saturday afternoon and evening stages, bad calls have influenced, if not directly effected, the outcome of the games. This year is was not simply bad calls in the middle of the field. This year they were touchdown calls directly resulting in Auburn points.
After Florida, after calls during LSU’s final drive which stopped the clock, and now this, someone needs to act whether it is the Arkansas Attorney General or the same authorities who investigated former NBA ref Tim Donaghy. Crew suspension or replay official suspension will be hard to swallow.
It is undeniable that Broderick Green was down. Other photos will be uploaded and linked. [Jacob, I may need a hand after services, etc.]
