I know we’re on the verge of football season, but word is word and becomes stale if it sits too long.
From a single source who will not be named, but whom this writer has known for several years, Michael Sanchez is doing well and will be ready for the 2010-2011 basketball season.
Currently Sanchez is working out with a trainer/former professional-level basketball player who has also worked with Joe Johnson at times. It wasn’t stated whether the workouts were in Central Arkansas, Springdale, or some place in between.
The source said that Michael had “hernia surgery” and that Michael’s foot issues appear to have been resolved. His foot has not been trouble during workouts.
As the conversation progressed, the source repeated the mantra which has been bantered around on message boards in threads claiming to have information close to Michael Sanchez, “He’s ready to go” meaning that he’s ready to play. I’ve never known the source to frequent message boards, and frankly it wouldn’t be the person’s kind of thing.
Interestingly, the source mentioned that Sanchez could play European pro ball now and could have the opportunity now if he wanted. However, the source described Sanchez as being very committed to the Razorbacks whom the source could care less about.
The source also described Sanchez as highly valuing his education and a degree and believed that it is Sanchez’s intent to finish out his degree.
For what it’s worth…
