Bob King, a Razorback fan that was browsing hogdb.com this morning contacted me concerning a mistake he found in our Opponents database. We incorrectly listed the College of the Ozarks as an opponent we played 8 times between 1927 and 1935. The games we’re actually played against the University of the Ozarks which is located in Clarksville, Arkansas.
The confusion comes from the fact that the Arkansas media guide lists the games being played against the College of the Ozarks which is now called The University of the Ozarks(source). After the name change a small christian school just outside Branson changed their name from School of the Ozarks to College of the Ozarks.
Wow… that’s confusing. BTW: We only use current team names on Hog Database.
UPDATE: Confirmed by Josh Peppas, the Sports Information Director at the University of the Ozarks.
